Have a safe barbecue!
In the summer, it’s nice to have a barbecue on your own balcony, as long as you keep fire safety and your neighbors in mind.

Please note that, according to our rules, you may only use an electric grill on your own balcony.
Keep these in mind when you’re grilling on the balcony:
- Always place the grill in a sheltered spot on a level surface, far enough away from walls.
- Make sure there is nothing flammable on the balcony. Keep a fire blanket within reach, and do not leave the grill unattended. Also, remember to unplug the cord from the wall after grilling.
- To maintain good relations with your neighbors, make sure that smoke does not enter your home building’s ventilation system or your neighbors’ homes.
Many of our buildings have a barbecue shelter that all residents can use, and in some buildings, you can borrow a grill from the residents’ committee.
